The Identity Journey October 2025

The month of September was an eventful month and it seems that October will have even more opportunities.

During September, we had the opportunity to take a long needed vacation. We escaped the continuing heat in cental Texas. (Yes, there are still summer temperatures in September and even October.) As part of the vacation, we took the opportunity to visit a part of America that has been on our bucket list for a while. In the coming months, we are looking forward to sharing information and pictures from this exciting trip.

During several different discussions during this past month, the importance of the call that God gives to us to be righteous was reinforced. Many times that I hear about being righteous, it is focused on what we do, our actions. But being righteous, from God's perspective, is less about being perfect in all of our actions, but about being righteous. Again, it is an identity issue, which will result in right actions.

We have spent most of our life developing an identity independent from God, which resulted in a corrupted identity. This results in action that are unrighteous, coming from a design different from the one for which we were created.

God knows all of this and does not expect that we are going to live perfect once we are saved and are back in relationship with Him. In becoming the righteous people that He desires, He wants to see us progressively transformed so we are restored to the identity that we were meant for. It is a process of redeeming our identity, not a single moment.

In the coming month, we are going to continue to focus on helping us understand and develop our call to righteousness. To do this, we will be trying some new things and look forward to your feedback.

Also, we have some exciting updated in the process of publishing our first book, Redeeming Identity.

Book Update and Request

Let the celebration begin! We are out of the page layout process. We finished our final review of the pages for the book and provided the approval to move on.

We are now into the exciting part of cover design, where we will be working with the designers to create the cover art for the book. It is when, the whole project starts to come together.

In the coming month, we will let you be part of the reveal for the final cover design. So, pay attention to our notices for our cover reveal.

This also leads to one of the most exciting pieces of news...We now have a release time for the book.

With having a release date for the book, we will also be starting to work on the publicity aspect of the book. This is to start building the team of people that will help us gain momentum as we get closer to releasing the book.

We will have more information about events happening around the publicity in the coming weeks. (There is already one event that I am really excited about and will share more closer to event.)

We need to build a strong launch team that will help us share the news that Redeeming Identity is being published and released. For publishing a book, this means building a strong email list and Facebook following to keep people informed of the impending publication and release of the book. This is extremely important, because the more people following us, the more likely we can get the book into stores around the country.

You can help us in this process in some specific ways.

• Please share this email with people you and encourage them to sign up to receive this email. Not only will it build our email list, they will get access to the amazing content we create to encourage them to know God.
• If you can't share the email, just send people to our website: redeemingidentity.com. When there, they will have the opportunity to sign up for the email list while exploring all of the content we provide.

• If you are on Facebook, please do two things. (1) Follow us so you can get our posts. (2) When you get a post, please share it with your followers. This helps get the information about the coming book and what we are doing out to more people. Also, the more followers and likes it receives, moves the post's up on Facebook's process.

We will be doing some specific work building towards the release of the book, but we would appreciate your help, our friends, family and supporters, to share the news of the book and the message that it is communicating.

Podcast and God's Glory Gallery

During a study of Genesis, my friend and co-host of the podcast, Pastor Erik Miller, described creation as the second book that demonstrates God's nature and identity. This idea comes from several different places in the Bible.

To try something new, one of the podcasts for this month will be based on an image from the God's Glory Gallery, Righteous Bighorn Sheep. We want to be able to encourage people to see and know God, as He said, through what He has created.
