What's in a name?

Companies spend millions of dollars so that people have specific thoughts when thinking about their name. This is the process of brand marketing, where the specific product or service is consistently presented or promoted to create a cohesive image or thought. The name of their product becomes part of their brand, which they want to be associated with a specific thought.

What do you think of when you read the following names?

• Amazon
• Starbucks
• Krispy Kreme

As a company, they want to be known in a specific way and they spend time and a lot of money to ensure this message is consistently communicated.

Most of us are not companies and our names are not associated with a specific brand. Our names are our brand. People know us by our name. Others associate specific thoughts or images with our name. Our name is an important part of our identity, how we think about ourself and others think about us.

This month the HE so I Project will be considering the most important name in all of history. We will be looking into the name of God.

Yes, God actually has a name. Just like our name, God's name is associated with who He is.

As we discover and discuss God's name, we are able to better know Him. In better knowing and understanding God's name, we can further learn the impact it has on our name...our identity.

Part 1 of Episode 2 of the HE so I Project podcast will be released on Tuesday, May 6 at 8:00 am. In this first part of the episode, we will be discussing the name of God, how it was introduced in the Bible, and the meaning behind His name.

​HE so I Project Bible Study​

To help support your search into knowing God, the HE so I Project includes Bible studies developed for each specific episode. Each lesson builds off of the discussion in the podcast and provides guidance to discover for yourself how God has presented Himself in the Bible.

As expected, the first part of the study focuses on discovering the identity of God, through the principles, perspectives, purposes and priorities that are associated with Him. The second part of the study leads us to contemplate how God wants to transform our identity to better reflect His.

Redeeming Identity Book Update

Progress towards the publishing of the book "Redeeming Identity" is continuing.

We have signed the agreement with the publishing company. The final version of the manuscript is currently being reviewed by their editors in preparation for typesetting.

We are working with the publisher towards publishing the book in Fall 2025.

At this point, we are also starting discussions with publicity firms to assist with the marketing for "Redeeming Identity".

As we continue through this process, we look forward to sharing how God is leading us through the process and what we are learning about His faithfulness in the journey.
