God Rules ... Our Choices

We want to have control!

This is not a question. It is a fact. We desire control and express that desire for control by making choices. These choices include both the complex life changing decisions that are made once and the thousands of small decisions made each day.

When we believe our ability to make our own choices is compromised, we seek to gain control and the ability to make choices.

It is because of our desire for control that we struggle against one of God's central attributes, that God is sovereign.

Join us this month as we spend time learning about God being sovereign and what that means for our identity.

The article "God Can't Win..." attempts to look at this perceived conflict between our desire for control and choice with God's sovereignty. We will let you know when this article is released on our website in a couple of weeks.

Book Update and Request

The path to final publication is a much longer process that we ever expected. We are currently in the typesetting and page formatting process. This is when they take the text from the manuscript tand layout the pages so that it looks good and is easy to read. We have already finished one review with revisions to make sure that the final layout will work well and look professional.

With each step we are getting closer to a finished book, which also means that launching the book is getting closer.

This is where we need your help!

We need to build a strong launch team that will help us share the news that the Redeeming Identity book is being published. For publishing a book, this means building a strong email list and facebook following to keep people informed of the impeding publication and release of the book. This is extremely important, becasue the more people following us, the more likely we can get the book into stores around the country.

You can help us in this process in some specific ways.

• Please share this email with people that you and encourage them to sign up to receive this email. Not only will it build our email list, they will get access to the amazing content we create to encourage them to know God.
• If you can't share the email, just send people to our website: redeemingidentity.com. When there, they will have the opportunity to sign up for the email list while exploring all of the content we provide.

• If you are on facebook, please do two things. (1) Follow our website, so you can get our posts. (2) When you get a post, please share it with your followers. This helps get the information about the coming book and what we are doing out to more people. Also, the more followers and likes it receives, moves the materials up on facebook's process.

We will be doing some specific work building towards the release of the book, but we would appreciate your help, our friends and family, to share the news of the book and the message that it is communicating.

Podcast

The HE so I Project is an ongoing study focused on discovering the identity of God, so we can also allow Him to show us who we were created to be. One aspect of this is our podcast, where the hosts invite others to listen in to a discussion focused on God, who He is and what that means for who we are called to be. This month, we will be discussing that God is sovereign.

Part 1 of Episode 5, "God is in Control", of the HE so I Project podcast will be released Tuesday, August 12. This first part of the podcast typically focuses on the specific attribute of God, so we can develop a better understanding of who "He is". Part 2 of the episode will be released on Tuesday, August 26, which will be focused what God's sovereignty means for who we can be, "...so I can be."

TX Flood Relief T-shirt

This is part of our identity to reflect God's identity to others, HE has been our help, so that we can be HIS help to others when they need it.
