As the deer pants after living streams,
so pants my soul for you, O God.
My soul thirsts for God,
for the living God.
Psalm 42:1-2
Meeting Our Greatest Need
When asked about the greatest need of people, there are many different opinions.
Love...Significance...Mastery...Purpose...Belonging.
It would not be surprising that we would argue one of our greatest needs is identity. Who we are defines everything that we think, feel, and do. Living out of our correct identity, the one created specifically for us, will result in finding everything else that we want or need.
The issue is that we cannot define our own identity. That is how we ended up with a corrupted identity, trying to discover who we are on our own.
We were created to be image bearers of God. Our identity was designed to be defined by God, so that we would reflect who He is. We cannot know who we were meant to be until we first know Him.
This is the purpose of the new work from Redeeming Identity, HE so I. As we learn who He is, we allow Him to show us the identity that He has made for us. He is...so I can be...
HE so I
HE so I is study that is focused on leading us to know and understand God. Each lesson will focus on a specific attribute of God and how this transforms our identity.
We are starting by posting the introduction to the HE so I study.
We will also be developing other aspects of HE so I, including a podcast, devotionals, inspirational photos, and other merchandise.
